Delete Your Account
You can delete your AdRadar account and the data held against it at any time.
Here is how to do it yourself, and how to ask us to do it for you.
AdRadar: Account Deletion
This page explains how to permanently delete your AdRadar account and the data held against it. It applies to AdRadar: Ad Revenue Tracker on iPhone, Apple Watch and Android.
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app. If you no longer have the app installed, you do not need to reinstall it — you can ask us to delete the account for you by email instead.
What your AdRadar account is
AdRadar signs you in with the Google account attached to your AdSense or AdMob account, and reads your reporting data through Google's APIs. Your AdRadar account is the record that links that sign-in to your settings inside the app.
AdRadar never holds your Google password, and the authorisation tokens that let the app fetch your reporting data are stored locally on your device and never sent to our servers. Deleting your AdRadar account removes the record we hold. It does not alter anything inside your AdSense or AdMob account.
Option 1 — delete your account inside the app
This is the fastest route. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
- Open AdRadar on your iPhone or Android device.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Account, then tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation and confirm that you want to delete the account.
You will be signed out and returned to the sign-in screen. Your account record and the data listed under “What is deleted” below are removed at that point.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it for you
Use this if you have already removed the app, or cannot sign in for any other reason.
So that we delete your account and not somebody else's, please send the request from the email address you sign in to AdRadar with. If you no longer have access to that address, say so in your email and we will ask you for another way to confirm the account is yours.
We acknowledge every request within 3 working days, and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming the account is yours. We will email you when it is done.
Revoking AdRadar's access to your Google account
Separately from deleting your account, you can withdraw AdRadar's permission to read your AdSense and AdMob data at any time from your Google account permissions page.
Revoking access stops the app fetching any further data, but on its own it does not delete the account record. To remove that as well, use one of the two options above.
What is deleted
Deleting your AdRadar account removes:
- Your account record, including the name and email address supplied by Google sign-in
- Your in-app settings and preferences
- The AdSense and AdMob properties you had connected, together with any thresholds or alerts set on them
- Push notification tokens registered to your devices
- Analytics and crash-reporting identifiers that are linked to your account
Data held on the device itself is removed when you uninstall the app. That includes the authorisation tokens, which never leave your device in the first place.
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data survives deletion. In each case it is either no longer linked to you, or we are required to keep it:
- Aggregated and anonymised usage and crash statistics. These cannot be traced back to you or your account, and are kept on our analytics provider's standard retention schedule.
- Email you have sent us and our replies to it, kept as part of our support records.
- Anything we are obliged to keep to meet legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention duties, kept for as long as the relevant law requires and then deleted.
Data that is not ours to delete
Your earnings, reports and payment history belong to your Google AdSense and AdMob accounts, not to AdRadar. Deleting your AdRadar account has no effect on them, and we have no way to delete them on your behalf. Manage that data from your Google account directly.
Removing the app
Deleting your account does not uninstall the app, and uninstalling the app does not delete your account. To do both, delete your account first, then remove the app:
- iPhone or iPad: touch and hold the AdRadar icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
- Apple Watch: removing AdRadar from your iPhone removes the Watch app with it.
- Android: touch and hold the AdRadar icon, then tap Uninstall.
